A chair by any other name is a Hilton

The standard measure of superstardom is whether you are recognised by surname (or nickname) alone. Thus the likes of Starck (Philippe), Conran (Tel) and Foster (Sir Norm) have joined the ranks, alongside Posh and Becks.

But now a new star shines in the firmament, courtesy of French furniture manufacturer XO. On its stand at last week’s Milan Furniture Fair, it showed a wooden chair by British designer ‘Hilton’. Nice one, Matthew. We always knew you were up there with the best.
