Flos lamp hopes to blow away the competition

They say form follows function in great design, but with one of the latest products from lighting manufacturer Flos it’s the other way round.

The Blo lamp takes its cue from a Wee Willie Winkie-style candle holder. So its designer, eccentric Dutchman Marcel Wanders, has come up with an appropriate way of turning the flame-shaped electric bulb on and off. You just put your lips together and… blow.
