Fila store takes Creative Action

Italian sportswear manufacturer Fila has commissioned Creative Action Design Consultants to design its new outlet store in Castleford, Yorkshire.

Opening on 17 September, the 325sqm store will be the first of its kind for Fila in the UK.

Creative Action senior designer Michael Fern emphasises the manufacturer’s need to have a retail presence in order to “stand its ground” against other sportswear companies. It also aims to “develop its retail identity to reflect new apparel designs”.

“Fila has a retro appeal to it, having been around since the 1970s. We wanted to keep the look of the unit corporate in colour scheme, but inject a future retro feel to it visually,” says Fern.
