Underground route for Glasgow

Transport group FirstGlasgow has used local ad agency Davidsons to design a map, based on the famous London Underground guide, for the city’s bus system.

The Overground features 18 networks, each represented by a different colour, in a bid to “simplify the traffic system in Glasgow city centre”, says Davidsons managing director Peter Davidson.

FirstGlasgow marketing manager Angela Gilchrist says the initial concept was decided in-house before Davidsons was appointed.

“We took off the Underground map as it is a recognisable system and a design icon,” says Davidson.
