Artworklove creates branding for music festival Alpenglow

Artworklove has created the branding for new improvised music festival Alpenglow, which will be held in London’s Dalston in September.

The festival is run by Sound and Music, a charity that aims to raise the profile of unknown artists, and will include shows by Austrian and UK bands.

Artworklove won the brief two weeks ago, following previous projects for the charity. In 2009 Artworklove partner Ben Reece worked on a new logo for Sound and Music while working at Research Studios.

As well as a brief, Sound and Music gave the consultancy material for inspiration, such as music from the festival and visuals of the optical phenomenon after which it is named, says audience development manager Shoël Stadlen.

Artworklove has created the Alpenglow poster, flyer, print and online ads, and programme. The consultancy designed a bespoke typeface for the logo inspired by the Sound and Music logo and the geometric sculptures of Lars Englund, says Reece.
