Matt Baxter leaves 300 Million to take on new role at Together

300 Million design director and partner Matt Baxter is leaving to join Together Design as creative director, after five years at the branding consultancy.

The new role was created to help Together to manage an increase in workload, following senior designer Bob Young’s departure.

Baxter has taken a year’s contract with Together, ’to give both of us the confidence that this is the right move, and because it is a significant appointment for a ten-person studio’, he says. Baxter worked with Together creative directors Heidi Lightfoot and Katja Thielen in the late 1990s at the now defunct Trickett & Webb. ’So we know there’s a good creative chemistry there,’ he says.

Baxter continues, ’I am looking forward to working at a smaller studio, which will allow me to have a more hands-on creative direction role than I do as a partner at 300 Million.’

He leaves 300 Million at the end of August, and joins Together in November. 300 Million will announce Baxter’s replacement in October.
