Caffe Nero growth underway

London café and restaurant chain Caffe Nero has appointed two design groups to facilitate an ambitious nationwide expansion plan.

London café and restaurant chain Caffe Nero has appointed two design groups to facilitate an ambitious nationwide expansion plan.

Caulder Moore is developing interiors for the chain, currently five-strong in London and seeking further sites nationwide.

A new corporate identity has been developed for the chain by David Costa Studios.

The interiors will attempt to build on Caffe Nero’s image as a traditional Italian-style café, unlike the “urban American” type currently popular with competitors, says Caulder Moore director Irene Maguire.

Further branches of the chain, using the interiors now under development, are scheduled to open during the summer.

Locations include Brighton, Oxford and Guildford, says a Caffe Nero spokeswoman.
