V&A digs Kim Wilkie’s garden

Kim Wilkie Associates has been appointed to create the new garden at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Kim Wilkie Associates has been appointed to create the new garden at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Judges praised the ‘elegance and simplicity’ of the design, which features a paved ellipse with water jets, yet also provides the flexibility to transform the garden for theatre and other events.

The final design will be unveiled later this year. The project is part of the broader £150m V&A regeneration programme unveiled in 2002 (DW 18 April 2002).
