Norway calls up Landor Associates

Norwegian Telecom, the country’s leading telecommunications company, has changed its name to Telenor and launched a new corporate identity system. Design is by Landor Associates, which worked with Oslo advertising agency Alfa & Omega on developing the new name.

Landor Associates executive director Lars Midthaug says: “To be distinctive in a sector dominated by technological imagery, we designed a warm, friendly symbol representing human communications.”

Norway’s national colours – red and blue – are retained as corporate colours but deeper shades are used. The new identity system will be adopted by all Telenor’s core businesses.
