Gun Nation; Tomorrow’s Gate; Michael Andrews; Jean Prouvé; Nudes

Photojournalist Zed Nelson looks at America’s fascination with the gun at Gun Nation until 11 August. Avoiding stereotypical images, Nelson focuses on “ordinary” citizens who have bought into gun culture.

Britart.com opens its off-line gallery with Tomorrow’s Gate, an exhibition of fantasy and idealist art, from 20 July until 10 August. Overlap, Jamie Robertson, Marco Bettoni, Sebastian Pearson and Al Duncan are among those showing work.

An exhibition of paintings by post-war British artist Michael Andrews is on show from 19 July until 7 October. The exhibition is curated by writer and critic William Feaver and Tate collections curator Paul Moorhouse.

A major retrospective to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of designer and architect Jean Prouvé is taking place in his hometown of Nancy, France, until 15 October.
