Irish institutions bank on Enterprise

Ireland’s two main Government-backed financial services institutions have cashed in on identities by Enterprise IG Dublin. The work comes as they aim to clarify their roles in the eyes of consumers and opinion formers.

The Central Bank and Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority are linked but separate bodies – the latter coming into being to deliver a more ‘consumer-friendly’ and ‘consumer-oriented’ approach to regulate issues like bank account, mortgage and pension sales.

Both marques, which roll out over the next six months, are derived from Eamon O’Doherty’s Crann an Oir, or Golden Tree, sculpture – a familiar landmark in Dublin’s Dame Street plaza.

The tree symbolises growth under careful management, which is ‘a premium and authoritative’ image for good financial governance, says Enterprise IG Dublin creative director Simon Richards.
