Holding group renames

A spokesman for Somerfield confirms the supermarket chain will appoint a design consultancy to devise a name and identity for a new holding company, after its merger with Kwik Save is approved.

However, the newly merged group, which comprises around 1400 stores, has yet to start the selection. Both retailers’ brands will be retained after the merger (DW 27 February).
