Numbers on the menu for City restaurant
City of London restaurant, 10, due to open later this month, has an identity and graphics created by Pearce Marchbank, founder of design group Studio 20.
The numeric theme is continued inside – diners are greeted by a screen featuring “10” related images including a scorched 10 note, newscaster Trevor McDonald from The News at Ten and the door of 10 Downing Street.
The 1.5m restaurant was created by architect Julyan Wickham, who was also responsible for the building’s previous incarnation as Le Champenois.
The reincarnation will feature lengths of mirrored walls, a curved bar and an internally-lit pastel ball on the ceiling. It opens in a week’s time in London’s Devonshire Square.
