SCG rebrands Russian pharmacy

A Russian pharmaceutical company is developing a retail pharmacy chain and is planning around 150 new and revamped sites. Naming, branding, interiors, signage, packaging and advertising are by SCG London.

Moscow client Vremia JSC is keeping the name of the chain under wraps, but is aiming to revamp its 50 existing stores and treble in size in the capital and surrounding areas.

Vremia wants to create a strong retail approach, not unlike Boots and Superdrug in the UK, to a sector which has been dominated by state-run counter-only operations, according to SCG managing director Clive Woodger. The new concept is currently being tested with roll-out planned for the autumn.
