Son and heir to follow in father’s footsteps?

Congratulations to Alex Pratt on the birth of his son Elliot Leonard Macinroy Pratt.

With a two-week delay for the birth, young Elliot’s appearance was a welcome relief for all concerned, not least his mother, Laura. The big surprise to us was that the announcement came on Department of Trade and Industry letterheaded paper.

Design-friendly industrialist Pratt is still on secondment at the DTI as design advisor. Is young Elliot’s name already down, in time-honoured tradition, to succeed him?
