Financial interaction at ICL

Computer company ICL’s sales reps are starting to use an interactive CD-ROM to improve their knowledge of ICL’s financing packages. The CD-ROM has been created by Nucleus Design.

The brief was to present the financial information in a user-friendly and memorable format both for use in classroom environments and in the field.

Voice-overs, video footage and hypertext links – which enable rapid location of related subjects – are all incorporated. ICL head of customer finance Ian Lamb says: “We believe our salesforce will find [the CD-ROM] invaluable.”

Nucleus managing director Peter Matthews comments: “Financing can be rather a dry subject so we set out to make the CD-ROM as lively as possible to counteract this.”

Nucleus gets a new consultancy director on 1 November. Nick Townsend joins from Swiss consultancy Zintmeyer & Lux and was previously at Addison, Landor and Wolff Olins. A further four designers have recently joined the consultancy.
