Cambridge illustrator Mark Oliver knows when, and has interpreted that gruesome moment we’ve all experienced in his When To Say No At Work project, commissioned by Cosmopolitan magazine. He wins the Association of Illustrators’ Pentagram prize, awarded today (Thursday).

The other Pentagram winners are James Marsh, Michael Brannan, David Hughes and Rupert Earl. The overall AOI prize-winner was Janet Woolley for Blarney Stone. James Marsh also received the Daley Rowney prize, the WH Smith student prize was picked up by J Simmons, and the Winsor & Newton prize was awarded to Matthew Williams.
