Repositioning by Methvens

Bisset Adams is rebranding regional bookshop chain Methvens as “Samedaybooks. at Methvens”, to compete with on-line rivals such as Amazon. The identity, graphics and interiors incorporate the chain’s new on-line, same-day delivery concept. Samedaybooks allows customers to order books over the Web and collect them in-store later that day. A Methvens spokeswoman says this overcomes the problem of Internet-ordered goods being delivered ineffectively to homes during office hours.

Designer Libbi Seymour says Bisset Adams wanted to communicate that Samedaybooks still belongs to Methven.
