Brandenburg buses parade a new identity

Thomas Manss & Company’s new German office has designed an identity programme for north Brandenburg’s public transport system.

The marque is being applied to OVG’s buses and will go on to all stationery and timetables.

“It will be a little revolution for German public transport,” says Thomas Manss, principal at the London office and also head of the four-strong Potsdam arm.

German-born Manss launched his consultancy in London in 1993.

The new German division opened this summer to better serve Berlin and the hi-tech industries coming to the former East German region of Brandenburg.

“These are exciting times in Brandenburg. It is the home of Berlin, and is already host to companies like BMW, Rolls Royce and Siemens,” says Manss.

“London is an attractive source of design for German companies, but there is also the appeal of working with designers who are conversant with local business practices and regulations. With two offices we will be in a better position to fulfil both needs,” he adds.
