A few dates worth pencilling into your diary. The first is Cybertecture – a practical guide to the Internet, presented by Louis Savy at the RIBA Architecture Centre. This history of the Internet will be given with details of hardware and software needed, practical applications and relevance to the construction industry. Included are 30 minutes of free surfing time at the Shoot ‘n’ Surf Internet café.

The second is the national Packaging Plus exhibition which includes barrier, contract, and decorative packaging. Until 3 October.

Wednesday 2 October 6.30pm

The third is the International Society of Typographic designers lecture by Tim Fendley and Robin Richmond, founders of MetaUnion. Established in 1995 between Union Design and Erik Spiekermann’s MetaDesign, the group has gone on to design a variety of identities, information graphics and signage. Entry by ticket only.
