Last Friday, Dumfries-based design consultancy Wolffe & Co completed its acquisition of Glasgow design consultancy Pointsize Associates.

The move is part of the ‘growth by acquisition’ strategy led by managing director Andrew Wolffe, who says he is ready to raise the company profile further. He succeeds Pointsize managing director Ken Cassidy as creative managing director of the enlarged design consultancy, Pointsize Wolffe & Co.

Cassidy has been at the helm of the high-profile company for 21 years, and says he is ‘delighted’ at the acquisition.

Wolffe comments, ‘We are similar in size and have a similar outlook, so there is an excellent fit.’

Pointsize Wolffe will have a combined annual turnover of £1m, 13 staff and a client list that includes the Ryder Cup, Gleneagles and the Universities of Paisley and Glasgow.

Wolffe is confident about growth and says, ‘Some might say we’re punching above our weight, but we’ve got some big clients.’
