The London Millennium Study, containing plans for nearly 150 projects, was published this week. It details proposals for a share of the estimated ú1.6bn Millennium Commission funding.
Submissions include: a new Thames bridge lined with shops and houses; converting Bethlem Royal Hospital Museum into a Museum of the Mind; a heritage museum at the Royal Canoe Club; restoring Highgate Cemetery; and Camden’s Cross-millennia project, proposals for which include a ú250m open-air arts arena.
