John takes the helm at Roundel
Ergo-ID founding partner Simon John has taken a majority stake in brand identity group Roundel and will take over management of the business from director Mike Denny.
John left Ergo-ID in autumn last year (DW 3 November 2005), undertaking consultancy work with Roundel before agreeing the new role with Denny, who now becomes chairman.
For Denny, who joined Roundel in 1982, the agreement offers a management succession for the consultancy, allowing him a ‘slow and gradual’ withdrawal from the business into retirement. Former creative director John Bateson and managing director Tony Howard left Roundel in September and May 2005 respectively.
John will invest a ‘small amount’ in the business and plans to take on ‘three or four senior people’.
