CSD elects new senior members

Randak Design Consultants director Lin Gibbon is the new Chartered Society of Designers president-elect, after a vote at the industry body’s annual general meeting last week.

She will take over as president when Adrianne LeMan steps down in June next year.

The meeting also saw former CSD national board chairman Frank Peters voted in as honorary secretary of the society. He takes over from Alto Design Management founder Alan Topalian, who moves to the CSD council.

Peters’ position has been filled by Simon Toon, promoted from his former role as CSD regional chair of the South of England.

Colin Bryce, Rod Josey, Jake Leith, Malcolm Lochhead and Cherrill Scheer also take up council positions, alongside Topalian.

Bob Searle will continue for a third year as treasurer.
