We Are Him & Her has created new branding and packaging for Kerry Foods brand Dairygold.
The consultancy describes Dairygold as ’a well-loved iconic Irish brand’ and the new designs are set to roll out in the Republic of Ireland from next month.
We Are Him & Her was directly appointed to the work around four months ago, according to the consultancy’s client services director Sarah Tyce. She says consultancy co-founder Glenn Kiernan has worked on previous projects for Kerry Foods.
Tyce says the previous packaging had portrayed Kerrygold as a spread rather than as a butter product. She says the aim of the project was, therefore, to ’dial up the butter’.
The consultancy says, ’Irish consumers see Dairygold as the closest thing to butter in a tub, however, the packaging didn’t reflect this.’
The consultancy has developed the churn and buttercup icon to work as one unit, to create ’a stamp of quality’.
We Are Him & Her also developed a ’lighter, more premium’ gold colour to ensure standout on shelf.
Tyce says, ’The new design is both confident and authoritative, giving Dairygold real taste credibility.’ The redesign covers the core orginal offering and the lighter alternative.
