Ogle Design steers the way for LDV vans

LDV, the biggest UK-owned motor manufacturer by volume, has launched two new van ranges as part of a 30m development programme. Design and management input is by Ogle Design.

The Hertfordshire vehicle design group worked with LDV on ranges called Pilot and Convoy. Incorporated are a redesigned corporate grille, styled headlamps and wraparound indicator lamps.

Interiors feature new cab trim with one-piece facias and improved ergonomics of the driver’s controls, styling and stowage details. Exterior styling has been implemented by vehicle design group Hawtel-Whiting.

“The design of the facia presented a challenge, since we had to cater for left- and right-hand drive in two different cab sizes,” says Ogle design director Tom Karen.
