Agenda Design will this week begin the roll-out of exterior signage work for More Than, the direct-to-customer sales arm of insurance company Royal & Sun Alliance.

This marks the first phase of a two-step signage project covering the brand’s interior and exterior requirements. It is anticipated that the final fee will be in the region of £50 000.

More Than brand and communications manager Heather Watson says Agenda’s brief is to create a 3D interpretation of Johnson Banks’ original identity work, designed by Johnson Banks creative director Michael Johnson.

The second stage of the project will include interior signage, wayfinding devices and environmental design.

‘The challenge will be to achieve a balance between More Than and the parent brand,’ Watson adds.

Agenda director Paul Davis says, ‘The buildings in the client’s porfolio vary greatly. Some are modern and contemporary, others are more traditional. Our approach [will be] simple, focused and systematic to make signage and signals enhance the communication: be it identifying, greeting, explaining or directing.’

Exterior signage at More Than’s seven call centres and its head office in Horsham, West Sussex need to be in place by 17 June, when the brand will celebrate its first birthday.

Agenda was appointed last month, following a three-way creative and strategy pitch against Wood & Wood and Dutch group Nijkamp & Nijboer last December.
