Eye opener from In Real Life

Brand design consultancy In Real Life has created the name and identity for 24seven, a new electricity network management company with round-the-clock service. The orange and grey logo features an eye representing the watchfulness and, by association, responsiveness of the service.

In Real Life partner Colin Hatfield says, “24seven looks after the ‘hardware’ – the cables under our streets – so we tried to convey its observational, caring business personality in the design. The eye also represents intelligence – 24seven’s point of differentiation.”

24seven is a joint venture between London Electricity and TXU Europe, which owns Eastern Electricity. The first company of its type in the UK, it aims to unite staff who maintain and operate electricity distribution networks for the benefit of homes across the South East.

The logo is being rolled out across vans, support vehicles, staff uniforms and identity cards, together with the strapline “brilliant people running world class utility services”.
