Is Selfridges’ packaging as fresh as we think?

I was surprised to see the Selfridges’ new food hall packaging has been attributed to the usually innovative Pyott (DW 14 April).

It appears surprisingly similar in concept and appearance to the work we did for Bluebird food shop three years ago. I personally worked on the development of this design project, together with Morag Myerscough and Terence Conran.

Why Selfridges should wish to use such secondhand ideas when there is so much creative talent about is beyond me.

It must have been aware of the Bluebird store.
