US Interbrand office appoints a new MD

International design group Interbrand has appointed a new managing director to run operations at its San Francisco office. The post is a brand new one.

Courtney Reeser, the former executive creative director/ Americas at Landor Associates, takes up his position on 1 May. He will also sit on Interbrand’s US board of directors.

Interbrand president Martyn Straw welcomes the new appointment saying: “We are privileged and excited to find the complete fit between Courtney’s thinking about the need for change and ours. “He will help us drive a completely new awareness of the power of brands to build businesses. His leadership and strategic capabilities, coupled with his ability to understand client needs, make him a natural to lead the San Francisco office.”

In addition to seven years spent at Landor, Reeser was previously a principal of his own consultancy, The Reeser Group, and in the past he has also worked at the San Francisco-based design group SBG Enterprise.
