The Royal Mail is in festive mode for August, introducing a range of stamps to coincide with the Notting Hill Carnival. The stamps, designed by photographer Tim Hazael, are the Royal Mail’s contribution to this year’s EUROPA theme of national festivals. Each stamp features the vivid colours of London’s Notting Hill, which after Rio de Janeiro holds the biggest carnival in the world. The presentation pack for collectors includes a specially commissioned poem, called Carnival Days, by Benjamin Zephaniah.
