The importance of product design for manufacturing industries is the theme of a seminar being held by Design Innovation.
The event, which runs from 6 to 8 March, is titled How Design Can Change Industries in the 21st Century, and has guest speakers from the US including Professor Patrick Whitney and Larry Keeley, president of strategic design planning consultancy Doblin Group.
The aim is to make Hong Kong the design capital of the region, says Design Innovation marketing consultant Regina Ko.
Design Innovation is a quasi-governmental group and is a subsidiary of the Hong Kong Productivity Council. “We are trying to get the government involved,” adds Ko.
