Rodney Fitch expands with Hong Kong office

Increasing work for south east Asian retail clients has caused Rodney Fitch Design Consultants to establish a permanent presence in the region.

Next month the group will open a Hong Kong branch, following the Bangkok office launched this month. Louise Dann, associate director at Rodney Fitch, is to head the Hong Kong office.

In the UK, Rodney Fitch Design Consultants has been appointed by optician group Dollond & Aitchison to review its store portfolio. The chain is to spend 10m over three years on development of its brand, including the roll-out of its new identity and store format.

The format, trialled in Bristol, Solihull and at the Lakeside shopping centre, Thurrock, includes the first update of the chain’s owl logo in its 250-year history. It will be applied to all stores. The “styleyes” computer system, which allows customers to see how they look in different glasses, will also go into more stores.
