Post-Alan Partridge, you have to think twice before saying that you come from Norwich. But design group Farrows, proudly hailing from that East Anglian metropolis, are crowing happily having been granted the Royal Warrant.
Yes, after seven years ‘involved in a number of significant design projects for the Royal Household including packaging, photography and exhibition work’, director Nick Farrow is looking forward to an annus mirabilis. ‘We hope it will open new doors for us, both at home and abroad,’ he says.
We can only speculate about the nature of those projects: customised biscuit wrappers for the corgis, an album of Balmoral holiday snaps embossed with gold leaf or ‘a little shew of Charles’ watercolour doodlings’ for when Kim Howells comes calling perhaps?
