Maiow has created graphics for the Sun and Sand Autumn/Winter 2003 T-shirt range, which launches later this year. The T-shirts feature a ‘peace camouflage’ pattern using ancient and modern ‘peace icons’, including a dove and a heart, says Maiow creative director Mai Ikuzawa. The pattern represents an ‘antidote to encroaching materialism and militarism’ and was conceived in response to ‘the growing number of people wearing camouflage in urban situations’, she adds.
