John Blackburn’s sojourn at Nova may surprise younger readers who know him as king of the drinks packaging scene. He set up Blackburn’s in the mid-1960s and has worked for Allied Domecq and other drinks giants, straying into health drinks through Aqualibra and Amé and even pet foods – for Denes.
