Designer of the Year shortlist

The Design Museum has announced its shortlist for the £25 000 Designer of the Year prize, which will be awarded at the beginning of June.

Nominees this year are Jasper Morrison for his Rowenta kettle and toaster range; Design Council strategist Hilary Cottam for her championing of design in schools, hospitals and prisons; the designers of Penguin Books’ Great Ideas series; and Glasgow-based textile iconoclast Timorous Beasties.

Once again, members of the general public are invited to vote at the Designer of the Year exhibition, which will begin at the London venue on 5 March, or on-line at www.designmuseum.org.
