LPD founder is the right type
Lippa Pearce Design joint founder Domenic Lippa has been elected chairman of the Typographic Circle. He replaces former chairman Patrick Baglee, who has stepped down from the position after two years.
The Typographic Circle, established for 20 years, aims to promote high standards of typography. It now plans to increase its activities, arranging more events and publications than in the past. Baglee will continue to fulfil a role at the organisation, offering his services to its Circular publication. All roles within the Circle are carried out on a voluntary basis.
“I’ve been involved in the Circle for the last five years and I’m enormously proud to have been elected to try and carry on the work of some of our past chairmen,” says Lippa.
Reorganisation of the Circle has given individual members more specific roles. The vice chairman is now Bruno Maag, the president is Jon Checkley, the secretary is James Alexander, while Tom Davidson is treasurer.
