Surrey design group PRE is launching a digital media business under the name Steaming Sushi, in response to “the lack of cohesion between on-line, screen and print [design work]”.
Steaming Sushi creative director Martin Lore says: “We want to bring our competence in print and traditional design to the Web world. There have been a lot of technology-led companies starting out without any design and strategic branding expertise.”
The new business will initially serve PRE’s existing clients, including publishing group Reed and Rebus, the financial services company. Then, over time, says Lore, it will be built as a standalone brand with its own dedicated design staff.
“Steaming Sushi is launching primarily to serve in the media and entertainment industry.
“We aim to partner key companies as we explore the future together, pushing boundaries, generating revenue and enjoying life,” he adds.
