Mathers joins BrownKSDP as MD

BrownKSDP has appointed John Mathers as managing director and confirmed it plans to drop its name and trade fully under the Enterprise IG brand by the end of the year.

BrownKSDP’s previous managing director Peter Hollingworth moves to the newly created role of chief executive as part of the reshuffle. But BrownKSDP chairman Dave Brown points to the position of Brown co-founder Peter Dart as Enterprise IG worldwide chairman as an indication of where the business is going.

‘We want to be the best in the world and to do that we have to have a worldwide offer. Aligning with a bigger brand is the right step,’ he says.

Brown says he expects the process of integration to be completed by the end of the year.

Mathers joins Brown-KSDP from Fitch London, where he was also managing director. Fitch London chief executive Jane Simmonds says the consultancy is not planning to replace the managing director role. But in other appointments at the group Jonathan Kirk joined as new business development director on Monday.
