Cosmetic and skin care company Sebastian International is opening its first boutique and workshop in California this month. Interiors, identity and facia for the Trucco Atelier were designed by Artecnica. Three layers of glass make up the store front and natural wood fixtures create ‘a journey into the kaleidoscope that is make-up’, says a spokeswoman for the California consultancy. ‘Our clients come to us because they are tired of “fast food” make-up,’ says Sebastian International creative director Geri Cusenza. Trucco Atelier also houses information on educational and employment opportunities for make-up artists. Other stores are scheduled for New York and Toronto this year, also designed by Artecnica.
