Working on the railroads

Weston Williamson is undertaking a feasibility study for London Underground’s Northern Line project team on ten of its stations.

Consultancy director Chris Williamson hopes that the results of the study, to be completed next month, will be incorporated into any plans a future government might have to bring private investment into individual stations or the network as a whole.

Work is half completed on the Jubilee Line extension’s London Bridge station, designed by Weston Williamson, and should be finished next April.

Meanwhile, South West Trains design manager Alex Barker has redesigned the rail franchise’s identity and livery.

Design group Four IV created the original logo for South West Trains when it was launched as a semi-independent subsidiary of British Rail back in 1994.
