TROUBLED retailer Marks & Spencer is not developing a new corporate identity, despite a huge decrease in its profits, says a spokeswoman for the group.

TROUBLED retailer Marks & Spencer is not developing a new corporate identity, despite a huge decrease in its profits, says a spokeswoman for the group.

Following a run of profit warnings and negative media coverage, Marks & Spencer this week announced profits at half the level of last year’s. Shares in the chain were previously seen as a “blue chip” stock.
