P&S to announce award winners

THE winners of this year’s Proctor & Stevenson Design Awards were due to be announced as Design Week went to press.

THE winners of this year’s Proctor & Stevenson Design Awards were due to be announced as Design Week went to press.

The awards, in their 12th year, carry a total of 5000 in prize money and a possible four-week work placement at the Bristol design and communications group.

Twelve final-year students from South Wales and the West Country have been shortlisted for a prize. The judging panel includes AMX Studios design director Malcolm Garrett and Carlton TV head of design Jackie Martin. Categories include typography, multimedia and Web design.

The design award finalists are: Meg Wright from the University of the West of England; Tom-Asle Flatholm, Joanne Morris, James Broughton, Christopher Thomas and Paul Sutton from Bath Spa University College; Ben Dew from Somerset College of Art and Technology; Karl Knutsen, Gareth Nicolls and Chris Holmes from Falmouth College and David Bridges, Nicholas Leo and Nicholas Copson from University of Wales College Newport.
