Static adapts Studio Universal for the UK

LONDON consultancy Static has been appointed by Studio Universal, the free-to-air international film channel which launches in the UK this autumn, to develop the look and feel for the channel.

Static won a five-way pitch for the work on the channel, which launched into the European market, in Italy, last year. The group will have less than two months to complete the project.

The work will involve adapting the US positioning and language to an appropriate local tone. “We pitched for the work just before Christmas. It will be finished by the end of July so there is going to be a quick turn around,” says Static executive director Mark Rock.
