The tabloids have been remarkably restrained in their coverage of the Millennium Dome lately. Especially considering the risqu̩ title of one of the architectural practices believed to be involved РMuf.

The Daily Telegraph appears to have been the first to break the taboo. In an article last week, the esteemed organ referred to the “provocatively sexual connotations” of the name, before going on to describe the dome itself as looking like “a giant contraceptive diaphragm”.

Anybody in doubt as to the humour inherent in the name should attempt to find Muf’s telephone number from Directory Enquiries without creating schoolboy giggles around their office.
