JKR adds a literary touch to Christmas Molton Brown boxes

JKR has created library-themed Christmas boxes for cosmetics brand Molton Brown, with each box in the series replicating a literary classic.

This is the eighth year JKR has worked with the company on its Christmas range, and work began on this year’s packaging at the beginning of 2009.

Briefed to create packaging that was durable and eye-catching, the boxes are ’rich and lustrous, and feel comfortable and very sensuous in the hands’, says JKR co-founder Andy Knowles.

Knowles says the consultancy aimed to create colourful packaging that was ’timeless and interesting’, but still ’familiar’, to cater for customers who often buy the gift boxes every year.

The packaging will be rolled out this week.
