That’s all folks – see you in 2021

Design Week is taking its seasonal break and will be back on 4 January 2021 for more news, insight and careers advice.

There has been much to reflect at the end of a year which has been undoubtedly difficult, particularly for designers who have faced furlough and job losses.

At the same time we have seen resilience and adaptability from designers and design consultancies which have helped businesses and organisations navigate digital spaces in new ways.

It has also been a year of innovation and one that has seen some designers use their skills to contribute to grass routes movements in response to political turbulence and injustice.

Across all sectors we have seen work that challenges conventions, asks important questions and fosters a sense of community on local, national and global scales.

You can find the year in review here.

Your views and expert opinions help make Design Week what it is and we are excited to continue the conversations we have been having with you in 2021.

We hope you have found our reporting useful this year and look forward to joining you again in the new year with more news, insight and careers advice.
