As Julian Grice is a Design Business Association board member, who can blame him for taking the opportunity to launch a rallying cry to persuade design businesses to join the DBA? (Letters, DW 14 April).
However, I am hoping that the Design Week headline, ‘Get on board DBA now or get left behind in business’, just happened to be an unfortunate choice of words.
Surely Grice (pictured above) isn’t saying that the DBA/Design Council partnership would disadvantage a design business that did not choose to or could not afford to join the DBA?
And if the Matching Service partnership is using public sector money, isn’t it right that all design consultancies, regardless of type, size or membership status should be included?
