Nozomi aims to offer other things on menu

Nozomi, the exclusive Japanese restaurant and bar set to open in Knightsbridge this month, is poised to ‘grow the brand’, according to a spokesman.

This could see more sites or niche products added to the company’s portfolio, which could provide additional opportunities for designers. Entrepreneur and Attica founder Marios George is Nozomi’s founder.

‘I plan to get Nozomi where I want it to be. There will be other things to follow, but I haven’t made my mind up what they are yet,’ says George. Architect Tom Moore has designed the flagship London restaurant, located in Beauchamp Place.

It features a lounge, a 50-seat restaurant, a sushi bar and private dining room.

The interiors are drawn up in an Art Deco style, and also inspired by the ‘Japonisme’ movement.

Meanwhile, Nobu is set to open its second London restaurant, Nobu Berkeley, at the end of August.

It is being designed by David Collins Architecture & Design (DW 17 February).
